American Legion 5K/10K Fun Run/Walk Fundraiser
On Saturday, 22 October 2022, the Pike County American Legion Post 197 will host a 5K/10K Fun Run/Walk fundraiser in Molena, GA. This is also a Pike County Bicentennial event. The start window is between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. There is a choice between a 5K (3.1 miles) and a 10K (6.2 miles) course. Early registration fee is $25, and the deadline is 15 October. Late and day of registration fee is $35. Everyone who registers receives a unique event T-shirt. This event is Post 197's third Run/Walk in Molena and 15th overall since 2016. Attending the Molena event as well as those in Zebulon, Meansville, Concord, and Williamson is like participating in a Tour de Pike. Courses are all scenic and provide a healthy activity. The Run/Walk is a fundraising event to benefit our American Legion Veteran and Community Programs. We are seeking Sponsors for this event. Location
The Location is in the great city of Molena. 5K is scenic meandering in and out of the Molena city limits. The 10K also scenic incorporates much of the 5K and extends out into the surrounding Pike County. There are rest areas for each course. The terrain for each is fairly flat with some small hills on the 10K.
